Ingredients
  

For the casserole
  • 1 bag broccoli (cooked al dente)
  • Ritz crackers
For the sauce
  • 1 can cream of mushroom (or celery) soup
  • 1-2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • salt to taste
  • onion to taste
  • black pepper or red pepper to taste

Directions
 

  1. Bring a medium pot of water to a boil (about 1–2 inches). Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the onion in 2 tbsp of oil or butter. Add the cream of mushroom/celery soup, salt, and pepper. Then add the cheese. (Don't let it melt.)
  3. Pour the sauce on top of the broccoli, sprinkle with crackers, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes until it's crispy.
