This dictionary of idioms is just a small sample of the Dicionário Inglês-Português: Expressões, Ditados e Provérbios, which is more comprehensive and up-to-date. The full version was released on March 15, 2025 and is now available on Amazon. If you’re only interested in the online version, feel free to purchase a monthly or one-time subscription and help me with this project. The full dictionary contains more than 5,000 expressions (divided in two volumes), duly translated into Portuguese, in addition to examples, references, pronunciation, and fun videos.
