na bancada - (jur.) refere-se a certos bancos ou assentos em um tribunal que são destinados ou ocupados por um colegiado de juízes. (Friedman, 2009). (Grupos empresariais e outros grupos de direita estão despejando milhões de dólares em campanhas judiciais para conseguir juízes na bancada que vejam as coisas à sua maneira.)

em trânsito; em/para viagem; em movimento; móvel; ocupado/ativo/agitado - Diz-se de alguém que está em trânsito, viagem ou movimento, ou ocupado com alguma atividade, isto é, não parado. (On the go). É o oposto de couch potato.
1. ✰ "But just because you're on-the-go doesn't mean you can't stay connected to your business and keep up with the myriad of tasks on your plate." (Steinberg, 2011). (Mas o simples fato de você estar em trânsito não quer dizer que você não possa ficar conectado com o seu negócio e dar conta da variedade de tarefas sob a sua responsabilidade.)

1. continuar à procura de alguém/algo que você deseja; estar em busca de. ✰ "The osprey in the photo is always on the lookout for fish in a nearby river." (Barker, 2016). (A águia-pescadora da foto está sempre à procura de peixes em um rio próximo.)
2. estar alerta a perigo ou problema; estar de botuca/olho. (Botuca). ✰ After a dog attack, I'm always on the lookout for vicious dogs. (Depois de um ataque de cachorro, estou sempre de botuca em cães ferozes.)

O termo lookout teve origem em contextos naval e militar no final do século XVII, referindo-se a sentinelas ou vigias. Em meados do século XVIII, passou a denotar especificamente a ação de vigiar ou permanecer atento.
