ter a mente fechada (sobre algo) - Diz-se de alguém que não está disposto a considerar as ideias ou opiniões diferentes. (Have a closed mind). ✰ "Closed-minded people are more interested in proving themselves right than in getting the best outcome." (FS Blog). (As pessoas de mente fechada estão mais interessadas em provar que estão certas do que em obter o melhor resultado.)

ter um chilique / ataque / piti - ficar muito preocupado, chateado ou zangado com alguma coisa. (Have a cow). ✰ “My dad woulda been okay, but my mama; she'll have a cow when she finds out!” (Sullivan, 2019). (Meu pai teria aceitado numa boa, mas minha mãe... vai ter um piti quando ela descobrir!)

Atualmente, piti é um termo bastante comum no Brasil. Quando queremos dizer que alguém teve um ataque histérico, dizemos “fulano teve um piti”. Segundo o Dicionário Informal, "piti" é uma redução de pitiatismo, entendido como um "[d]istúrbio secundário da histeria produzido ou eliminado por meio da sugestão". (Pitiatismo).

ter a mente suja / poluída - Diz-se de alguém que percebe as coisas sob ótica da malícia sexual que elas podem transmitir. (Dirty mind). ✰ "We all have that one friend who has a dirty mind." (Viral, 2024). (Todos nós temos aquele amigo que tem a mente suja.)
